Daniel Clarke, Executive Chairman
As Executive Chairman of WinBuyer, Mr. Clarke is active in the e-commerce space
as CEO and director of Specialty Retail Shops, Inc (SRS). SRS is a Scottsdale, AZ-based
company that acquires, consolidates and grows niche, online retailers in the $31
billion specialty retail segment of the "Long Tail" of e-commerce. SRS
transitions the stores at acquisition to a top-tier, enterprise-class retail platform
that utilizes advanced marketing and fulfillment capabilities, as well as consolidating
administrative and corporate operations.
Prior to his work at SRS, Mr. Clarke was the CEO and Director of Vcommerce Corporation,
maker of a multi-tenant, end-to-end e-commerce platform used by leading online retailers
on a private-labeled basis. In less than five years, Mr. Clarke grew the end-user
transaction volume on the Vcommerce platform from $50 million to more than $1 billion
annually. Prior to joining Vcommerce, Mr. Clarke served as President, CEO and board
member of Primarion, a semiconductor company that he founded in 1999. In addition,
Mr. Clarke spent seven years at Intel, where he held several key positions including
Business Unit General Manager and Marketing Director of the video components, mobile
computing and graphics divisions. Mr. Clarke also served as the Vice President of
Sales & Marketing at Three-Five Systems Inc., a liquid crystal display company.
His successful performance in this role earned him an elected officer position.
Additionally, he was Chief Operating Officer at Vivid Semiconductor.
Mr. Clarke serves on the board of directors of three e-commerce companies. He attended
Ohio Northern University and the University of Central Florida in the electrical
engineering programs
Miki Balin, Founder and CEO
Mr. Balin is the Founder and CEO ofWinBuyer. WinBuyer evolved from Conversion Methods,
an e-commerce startup he founded in 2004. Mr. Balin has devoted much of his career
managing marketing-related ventures. Prior to establishing Conversion Methods and
WinBuyer, he founded Balin, Adatto & Cohen, a leading health care consulting
and advertising firm in Israel. He also managed a family-owned food distribution
company, and served as general manager of the Rina Shinfeld Ballet Theatre where
he still serves as a director today.
Mr. Balin received academic education in business administration at the Israel College
of Management
Alon Weinberg, Founder and Vice President of Research & Development
Mr. Weinberg has more than 20 years of experience in research and development
(R&D), including more than 10 years in managerial positions. He joined Conversion
Methods as Vice President, R&D, which evolved into WinBuyer in 2005. At Conversion
Methods, he developed a secure digital communications tracking system and multi-dimensional
database for a category-based e-commerce search engine, and is currently responsible
for the technology behind WinBuyer. Prior, Mr. Weinberg served as
Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, R&D, for Contega, Inc., which developed
a sophisticated GPS tracking system. Before joining Contega, he served as MIS Director
for myZebra.com, a California-based e-commerce startup. He also worked as Development
and Infrastructure Manager for MM Telcom, a New York-based telephony company specializing
in international voice, data conferencing and Internet calling services.
Mr. Weinberg served in the Israeli Defense Forces and the Ministry of Defense in
a variety of positions including programmer, system analyst and team leader. He
earned his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, cum laude, from Queens
College in New York.
Aharon Rathner, Chief Financial Officer
With over 20 years of experience in Finance, Business development and International
Sales, Aharon is responsible for WinBuyer’s finance, legal, and administration departments.
Prior to his work at WinBuyer, Aharon was the CFO of GlassHouse (GH) Israel. Aharon
was the CFO of Integrity Systems. In 2007 Integrity was acquired by GH together
with MBI. Aharon was responsible for merging Integrity and MBI to become GH Israel.
Aharon was leading major tasks of the M&A process as well as another 2007 acquisition
of Illuminator Inc, a startup company which was spin off from Integrity, by EMC.
In 2004/5 Aharon raised for Illuminator about 10 million USD from leading VC’s,
privet Investors and Venture Lenders. Prior to GH Aharon was the VP of Finance and
Administration at TesCom Israel, an Israeli, services company with more than 400
employees. During 2000, the company went through few successive M&A. Prior to
TesCom, Aharon was a CFO at Nanoics Lithography, an Israeli startup that specialized
in developing capital equipment for the Semiconductors industry. At Nanonics Aharon
raised more than 4 million dollars from leading VCs, private investors, and the
Israeli government. Prior to his work at Nanonics, Aharon worked for over 10 years
at El-Op, a world leader in defense Electro-optical systems. He held several positions
in the finance and international sales & marketing divisions. In 1994-6, he
was the CFO of El-Op US, which was located in NY. In 1995, El-Op US bought Kolsman
Inc, a New Hampshire company with over 100 million dollars in sales and 600 employees.
Aharon was responsible for some major tasks of the M&A such as major parts of
the Due Diligence process, the raising of capital from U.S. banks and after closing,
the reporting methods and accounting procedures on the consolidation of Kollsman
Inc. and their subsidiary, KMC into Elop US and then into ELOP’s financials.
Mr. Rathner holds a Masters in Science degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Chance Lipsky, Director of Sales
Chance Lipsky, Director of Sales, has ample experience in sales, particularly in
the retail space. Prior to joining WinBuyer, Mr. Lipsky was the National Sales Manager
for Continental Promotion Group (CPG). CPG is a promotional fulfillment company
specializing in mail in rebates, cash back rewards, gift cards, and stored value
VISA cards. As National Sales Manager, Mr. Lipsky was responsible for bringing on
over 140 new retailers, manufacturers, and service providers generating millions
in revenue. Prior to working at CPG, Mr. Lipsky was a Business Product Specialist
at Sentry Insurance, where he specialized in commercial property and liability insurance.
Additionally, Mr. Lipsky was an All American wrestler.
Noa Gafni, Marketing Manager
Noa Gafni, the Marketing Manager for WinBuyer, is a Web 2.0 enthusiast with expertise
in online marketing, social networking, and interactive content. In late 2005, Ms.
Gafni founded Queen Bees, an invite-only social network for women who embody the
work hard, play hard ideal. She also worked at Hearst Magazines as the Manager of
Social Media, where she was responsible for user-generated content on all of their
magazines’ websites. Ms. Gafni launched communities for Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire,
and Country Living, as well as interactive components on Seventeen, The Daily Green,
Cosmo Girl, Good Housekeeping, Redbook, and House Beautiful.
Ifat Meiri, Strategic Partners Manager
Ifat Meiri has been the Strategic Partners Manager for WinBuyer since 2005. Ifat
is an SEM campaign specialist. Prior to Winbuyer, Ifat worked at Tippcom as the
head of operations. Tippcom is a company that creats unique content for cellular
and telecommunications companies in Israel. Before Tippcom, Ifat worked in client
management atAdam-Milo, a large human resources corporation.
Ifat has a Bachelors degree in Communications and a Masters in Human Resource Management.
